KATHMANDU, BHAKTAPUR & LALITPUR SESSION

On June 9, 2024, the Sambad Foundation teams from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur held a lively joint meeting at Sitalchautari, Kathmandu. Led by Central President Kumar Bhaskar, the event brought together new and old members to share their stories and learn from special presentations. It was a great time to welcome new members and plan future projects to help the community.

Highlights

Dynamic Introductions

The session opened with an animated introductions segment where members shared personal journeys and aspirations. This exchange strengthened bonds, fostered new connections, and reinforced the Foundation’s collaborative spirit.

Inspiring Presentations

Navneet Kumar “Human Values”: Explored core values that underpin community engagement and proposed strategies to broaden Sambad’s outreach and impact.

Anjali Baitha “Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Management”: Presented practical approaches and collective-action ideas to support mental-health resilience in communities.

Both talks generated thoughtful discussion and concrete ideas for follow-up programming.

Warm Welcomes

New members were formally introduced and welcomed. Their backgrounds and fresh perspectives energized the group and expanded the Foundation’s volunteer base.

Strategic Planning

The session included an interactive planning workshop to map upcoming initiatives, focusing on:

  • Community workshops to build local skills and awareness,
  • Projects in education, health, and environmental sustainability,
  • Strengthening partnerships with like-minded organizations to scale impact.
  • Participants agreed on priority areas and initial steps to move from discussion to action.
