Sambad Foundation Releases “NavBhor” Maithili Story Collection in Kathmandu

Sambad Foundation successfully organized the book release ceremony of “NavBhor,” a Maithili story collection authored by Ms. Kanchana Jha Jha and published by Sambad Foundation. The literary event was held on 25 June 2026 at Green Leaf Restaurant Hall, Kathmandu, bringing together distinguished personalities from the literary, media, and cultural sectors.

The ceremony was gracefully hosted by Media Personality Ms. Sneha Jha and was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Gopal Jha, Media Personality and Owner of Headlines & Music FM.

The event featured the presence of distinguished Guests of Honor, including:

The event also witnessed the participation of Maithili artists Ranju Yadav and Subhadri Subha.

The ceremony began with a welcome address by Sambad Foundation Founder and Central President Mr. Kumar Bhaskar, who highlighted the importance of promoting literature, creativity, and cultural expression through such initiatives.

During the discussion session, speakers including Mr. Dharmendra Bihbal, Mr. Gopal Jha, Mr. Sachchidanand Mishra, Dr. Sweta Dipti, and Mr. Santosh Sah shared their perspectives on Maithili literature, storytelling traditions, and the significance of “NavBhor” in contemporary literary expression.

Ms. Bijeta Chaudhary also shared reflections on her story included in the collection, offering a personal insight into the creative journey behind the publication.

The program concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Sachchidanand Mishra, marking a memorable celebration of Maithili literature, storytelling, and artistic creativity.
