Media Advocacy program in Palpa District by Sambad Lumbini Provinve

On January 5, 2025, the Sambad Foundation took another big step by expanding its work into Palpa District, Lumbini Province. The new Palpa District Chapter was officially started in Tansen with a special media program and great energy. This expansion helps the foundation continue its mission to support communities, protect culture, and help young people become leaders.

Formation of Palpa District Chapter The newly formed Palpa District Chapter brings together a dedicated team committed to driving sustainable change in the region. The leadership team includes:

  • Coordinator: Krishna Prasad Bhandari
  • Co-coordinator: Binita Baraili
  • Member Secretary: Sushil Bhattarai
  • Members: Niran Nepal, Amit Pandey, Sanjok Aryal, Utsab Amatya, and others

Together, this team will serve as a hub for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that communities are supported and inspired towards cultural preservation and social transformation.

Media Advocacy Program in Tansen To mark the chapter’s installation, Sambad Foundation organized a Media Advocacy Program featuring distinguished speakers. The session was honored by Mr. Dilip Prakash Karki, a renowned media personality, who shared his invaluable insights on the role of media in advocacy and social transformation.

Mr. Kumar Bhaskar, Central President of Sambad Foundation, addressed the gathering with a passionate speech on the importance of cultural preservation. He highlighted how media can be a powerful tool in spreading cultural awareness among youth, stressing that connecting young people with their roots is essential for safeguarding Nepal’s rich heritage.

Looking Ahead Empowered with fresh perspectives and a strengthened network, the Palpa team is now better equipped to use media as a platform for youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and community development. The expansion into Palpa represents Sambad Foundation’s growing impact across Nepal and its unwavering commitment to building stronger, culturally enriched, and empowered communities.
